The BDS Journal - Dams & Reservoirs
The British Dam Society produces a peer reviewed journal (Dams & Reservoirs) which contains a mixture of articles and technical papers relating to all aspects of dam and reservoirs design, construction and operation. The Journal has evolved over the years, starting in 1967 as a newsletter (News & Views) issued by the British Section of ICOLD (BNCOLD). In 1991 this evolved into the Dams & Reservoirs publication published directly by BDS. From 2008 publication of the journal was taken over by Thomas Telford Ltd, making it a formal peer reviewed journal, in line with many other professional engineering societies and groups.
Membership of the British Dam Society includes four editions of Dams & Reservoirs each year. Copies of all previous editions of Dams & Reservoirs are available on-line within the member’s area of the BDS website.
The continued success of the journal relies upon the submission of interesting and informative articles and news. The editor of Dams & Reservoirs (firstname.lastname@example.org) would be pleased to receive abstracts and full papers for consideration.
Guidance on the preparation of the technical papers for Dams & Reservoirs can be found here.
