A key function of the BDS is to arrange
technical meetings and seminars both in London and the regions.
The Society organises approximately
four or five evening meetings held at the Institution of Civil
Engineers in London each year.
- Regional meetings are organised
usually in association with the local Institution of Civil
Engineers.
- Evening meetings start at 5.30
pm and last until approximately 7.00 pm.
- Attendance at meetings is free
and is preceded by tea.
- Where possible meetings are organised
with other Societies e.g. BGS, BHS, CIWEM to attract a larger
and wider audience
