The University of Durham is made up
of 16 separate Colleges. The conference will be hosted at Collingwood
College which was constructed in 1972 and is the newest of colleges
with the University Campus. Lectures will be held nearby on the main
campus in short walking distances away. Collingwood is located one
mile from the centre of Durham.
The City offers a wide variety of restraurants and bars with nearby
shops, banking and sports and leisure facilities.
As Durham's newest college, it has been extensively
developed and refurbished in recent years. The accommodation offered
by Collingwood is of a high quality with a three diamond English
Tourism Council rating.
En-suite rooms available, each with a private shower, toilet and
hand basin, built-in wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities and
radio alarm clocks. Twin occupancy rooms are available on request.

Registered delegates will receive a bound volume of papers from
the conference. Synopses and papers will be available from the web-site
before the conference through restricted access. A discussion document
will be provided in electronic format shortly after the completion
of the conference.

persons will be invited to attend the Conference Dinner on Thursday
7th September. Accompanying persons may join their partners on the
technical visits. Entertainment will be provided on Friday Evening
at the Darlington Beam Engine Trust.
